re: to buy or not to buy...??? Did a bit of research over the weekend...

I found a few interesting reports, ranging from 3 - 6 months old, all of which gave "buy" recommendations for JAK when it was trading in the 18-22c range.

At the time, JAK was sitting on reserves of about 150K ounces...and gold was only $390 ounce. (AUD$528)

Since then, they have increased reserves to 276K ounces...and gold has risen to over $450 ounce (AUD$570)

Yet JAK's share price still remains capped at 22c.

Perhaps more importantly, in that time they have also pulled off what would have to be one of the best JV arrangements of the decade with Placer Dome; which effectively gives them 100% rights to one of Australia's most prospective Nickel regions...as well as retaining exellent exposure to any large gold discoveries through their exploration JV deal!

In addition, any smaller discoveries under 100K ounces...and in some cases 200K ounces...are to be retained 100% by JAK.

If you haven't looked closely at the deal, I suggest you do so...it's a ripper and speaks volumes for the quality of their assets!

Anyway, that's the big picture...short term; assay results due for Wallbrook, Placer Dome is drilling at Crossroads, JV partnerships are immanent for their Nickel assets...and the list goes on!

I think I've done enough research over the weekend to clear my mind of a few nagging doubts...as such, I have have decided to take a fairly serious position in the next week or so.

I don't usually post my feelings prior to buying for obvious reasons, but I am doing so this time because I have one lagging doubt; why has there been such little interest in JAK recently, when the rest of the juniors have been running at the slightest hint of any news?

Is there something that I have missed?

I now invite you all to talk me out of it...go on, see if you can!

    Cheers!
