True... about dividends and cash in the hand is what we are after, but
It also depends on what you see in the future - otherwise the share is worth far less than its current value.
There are earnings expectations. I tend to say look at what has been achieved in the Australian market and translate that to the world. All companies have a P/E - thats what we are paying for in the future.
