We will know for sure once the float has been priced by the market. If there is a corresponding grab for the new IPO, then the theory could make sense - if there's only a lukewarm response to it though, not so much.
Mind you if the IPO was that great wouldn't the price be boosted short term in order to get issue entitlements?
