I suspect that the rapid increase in the number of bots operating is the asx getting ready for the competition by allowing more to use them . The advent of multiple exchanges willc ertainly increase the bot trading allowing for instant arbitrage between the two exchanges . It would appear that short term investors will be the one loosing in this case. I am actuallya long and all that i can see that has happened is that the security of watching a share respond to fundamentals with a gradual rise has been replaced by the security of knowing someone with deep pockets has a positive view of the share that you have invested in . If you are a short i have no idea how you can survive
