Thanks JS,it is my belief this litigation is Brian Burke's baby in relation to the cattle ripoff, not the tree plantations, could be wrong have been before.
Also IMF collect 50%of the brass in the deal, and that is fine seeinf if they lose IMF will carry the bills, plus IMF is listed on the ASX.

Great Southern Investors given right to sue

    Friday March 19, 2010, 8:19 pm

The Supreme Court in Perth has given permission for more than 700 investors in Great Southern Limited to sue the failed agribusiness for tens of millions of dollars.

Last year investors launched a class action against the company and its directors for breaching their duties.

However investors had to apply to the Supreme Court to go through with the lawsuit.

The litigation funder IMF is bankrolling the class action.

Managing Director Hugh McLernan says the Court has now granted permission to sue and has given investors access to Great Southern's insurance documents.

Mr McLernan says the Court made the decision because Great Southern is in administration and doesn't have any substantial assets.

"The existence of the insurance policy is vital and the court thought that it would be good not only for the plaintiffs but also for the general court system for people not to sue unless they were reasonably certain they were going to get paid."
