Company Overview
World Reach Limited (WRR) is a telecommunications systems integrator and provider, focusing on network management, IP network systems, product R&D and microwave radio. WRR provides solutions across multiple technology platforms including wireless. WRR has developed a number of products, including the worlds first Digital Radio Analyser for digital microwave radio systems.
Company History
WRR first listed on the ASX in 1986. In July 2005, the businesses of Able Communications and Service Pty Ltd (and its associated subsidiary Telenet Sales and Services Pty Ltd) and PGS Communication Services Pty Ltd were acquired and integrated with WRR. This was the the first phase of establishing a national telecommunications company.
Differentiating Factor
WRR's differentiating factor is its strong links with its suppliers and partners. These relationships enable WRR to deliver a complete end-to-end suite of convergent voice and data products and services. Such partnerships include those with Riverstone Networks, Cisco Systems, Enterasys, Proxim, SMC and f5, which are all leading vendors in wired and wireless IP networking.
Major Customers & Competitors
WRR's main customers are large enterprises and SMEs. These include Telstra, Australian Customs, Channel 9, and Sydney Water within Australia, and Marlink and GMPCS overseas. The company's main competitors include other providers of telecommunication services, in particular those that offer voice over Internet protocol systems.
