Capital gains tax is only a minor problem as a lot of my trading was done on the way down and I had a lot of losses to offset. It is more of a problem now with the rising prices. I take it into account in the trade. The thing about tax is that you only have to pay it when you actually make a profit so the more tax I pay then the more profits I have. It is part of life that can't be avoided but it can be minimised to some extent.
