Then they have to drill out the plugs & initial clean up?
They'll have some idea of how it might flow.
Weston was drilled higher than Kennedy and higher than proposed in the new wells, I think. But there's no doubt that a successful 14 stage frac will go some way to providing confidence.
I remain of the view that we will not be able to start to gauge the true potential until we have seen what they can do with the new wells to be drilled in the upper part of the Eagleford horizon and fracced into both horizons.
That is what Chris Hodge appeared to say in the release on 1st February: "....further prove up the commercial potential..."
The fraccing of Kowalik, Kennedy and Weston are just preliminary steps along the way. But with Hilcorp moving the project along quite nicely, this first stage of the journey might not take too long to be completed.
