Stock Index futures in the US rose as key euro zone officials struck a deal to help Greece with its debt crisis, while the investors anticipated positive data on the health of the labor market.
Jamie Cox, managing partner of Harris Financial Group in Colonial Heights, Virginia said: "It will be a template for any of the other European countries with sovereign debt issues. There will be some type of rescue package. Europe is not going to let any of its EU member nations default because that would be ruinous for the currency."
Dow Jones finished 105.81 points higher at 10,144. The S&P 500 index ended 1 percent higher at 1,078. Nasdaq up by 29.54 points at 2,177.41.
