inhaler overuse study

Professor Bradding[Telegraph 14/1/10]researched the use of inhalers and found that "despite their usefulness in rapidly relieving asthma,relievers may cause asthma to worsen when used too frequently".This research highlighted the need for asthma management devices outside a clinical setting.The director of Asthma U.K,Dr Vickers,urged "anyone who needs to use their reliever inhaler three or four times a week to visit their doctor or asthma nurse to have their symptoms reviewed".The hospital systems,in the U.K,U.S and here,are struggling to cope with the flood of asthma management cases:perhaps unique management devices may have their day!
