IF you love a game of Keno, the Moonee Beach Tavern is apparently the place to go. The tavern has been nominated as a finalist for this year’s prestigious Australian Hotels Association (AHA) Awards for Excellence as the Best Keno Venue (Country).
“Keno is a new product we have offered our customers over the past 12 months,” venue manager Karen Hayes said. “They have enjoyed learning how to play and really get involved in the promotions; we’ve even had a couple of big wins.
“As a venue manager it’s always rewarding to see your patrons enjoying themselves.”
Parent company NLG Hotel Group has been nominated for a record total of 25 awards, a feat not matched in the awards history.
From its inception in 1993, the AHA (NSW) Awards for Excellence has become the most prestigious awards night within the hospitality industry. Judged by an independent panel of hotel experts, the aim is to recognise the accomplishments of the true hotel leaders throughout NSW, within the hotel and bottle shop categories.
The awards night will be held at the Star City Casino on Monday. Awards will be announced by television and radio personality Mikey Robbins in front of approximately 800 hotel industry identities and special guests.
