Unfair or not, that the rules. The company isn't obliged to announce anything until they know the flow results. Any announcement before that is meaningless and only acts to induce short-term traders into and out of the stock.
There's nothing abnormal happening here. The company said they were being extra diligent in ensuring there are no other leaks and its a deep hole.
Very happy with their approach personally.
