I have never looked at this stock before but even I could find out the reason for director buying after a little bit of research. One of the companies major shareholders Southern Gold has sold its holdings to the other shareholders at a price of 5.5 cents. It would seem that with the share price at its current levels they are still making a quick profit even if they sell now.
Once this selling stops it would be more than likely that the share price would recover.
Speculation should not hinge on why the directors are buying but more so why one of the major shareholders sold out. My guess would be possible cash issues due to GFC perhaps (but who knows) and that the current downward trend in the stock could be nothing more than a supply and demand issue and could present a good buying opportunity.
Cheers DYOR
