i can understand your thinking, in my case to stump up over 120k is a more than petty cash. however if the shares are in the money, i may receive some sort of return on the options.

say the drilling results come out ok , the shares surge to even 25c, the options are worth at least 3c compared to .03c, big difference on big numbers.
i am quite overweight in aqd, as many would be aware.timing is everything, another few months on the options life would have been good.
the company could do with the money, why do a capn rasing at say even 15c, when they could get potentially get 20c with no costs in rasing.
imo there is a lot riding for the company and investors to get the shares northward. the market has risen aqd hasnt gone up with it.
the 3rd party talks could also be a bonanza, if they get on with it, and announce at the latest at the agm.
