I didn't think that was how it worked, and T+3 doesn't apply to ex dates, otherwise by your reasoning any shares bought now don't entitle you to the offer as you wouldn't have them until wednesday next week. Also if you sold now you wouldn't be holding for the record date and are still ineleigible
If a more experienced poster could confirm I would be grateful.
