The reply from Ken was pretty well in line with my expectations as my personal experiences with KEY is that they play everything very close to their chest.
In saying that, when they wanted capital for the UK well development they gave us quite a bit of info during the rights issue. Quite funny actually. if you take a line through this, you could realistically expect information overload when the time comes for this raising.
The question we all have to ask ourselves is, "Am I comfortable to give then a blank cheque by voting YES at the AGM in the absence of any news".
My personal view is NO.
For the record I am still a very strong supporter of the KEY management team and have no doubt they are trying their best to grow the company, and IMO, they are the best in the business at doing that. However as a young small company trying to make it, they need to also send the right messages to the market if that growth will result in actual shareholder wealth which is KEY’s other major objective.
Unfortunately, on the surface it appears the latter seems to have taken a back seat at the moment.
Cheers
