Thanks all, yep, i figured it out yesterday after getting some of the articles. It was clear.

Pity the newspapers etc. had word of it before the owners of the company.

If you are right about last week spudding - that brown's me off - makes a mockery of continuous disclosure. It also seems that for a deal that ends up making $7.5m - over a month in halt or suspension is a long time.
At this stage I will probably stay with stu, but I will be watching with more care in future. You can only judge from now I guess and at present we are debt free, have income and a port coming by the looks and some real estate.
All this as long as the deal actually goes thru - there do seem a few barriers to cross yet - including firb approval. If that stuffs up it would change the plan a bit I suspect.
