basically...the big biotech companies who are in this area are making genetically modified crops...seeds and patenting these seeds.

This is where the money will be down the track as whether we like it not...one day....all the food we eat is likely to be genetically modified.

Now the big biotech companies who have patents on these foods and thus the seeds will be killing it as all the food around the world will come from their seeds.

The area of being able to track and trace the seeds is like Microsoft with their software licensing and pirating.

So being able to track / trace the seeds is a huge area where the Bio companies will be recouping money (not just from licensing the use of their seeds which will make them heaps) but they will be doing a microsoft and spending heaps in the area of tracking their patented seeds / plants / crops and busting litigation wise anyone not playing by the big bio company;s rules.

Very sad but its the way its going whether we like it or not.

You would be surprised how much food you already eat that is genetically modified but we dont know it.

Its already happening but one day will be the norm.
