Live fish is popular among the affluent Singaporeans despite the growing popularity of processed and convenience seafood products, eating out is popular and many prefer to dine in seafood restaurants where live fish is displayed in tanks.
Species include seabass, tilapia, crabs and lobsters, and you guest it, 'Grouper' as our chairman says cell aqucaulture is not only on Singapore's doorstep, but I think by early next year they will be in their livingroom.
This private investment group and CAQ I think have big plans, you can see that when the announcement says stage one. With China opening up it's market and coupled with increasing demand for seafood in other Asian markets, the live fish trade in Asia has huge popential, and with CAQ Smack-Bang in the middle you would have to put your money on the nose with this one...
Cheers.
