Vayama, as you know i agree with most of what you say and understand your rational but this statement has is a little wrong "100M bought and 100M sold.
100M shares are wanted. 100M shares are not wanted. "
fact is traders are all over this buying and selling shares to themselves all day as they try to entice either the cheap seller or the high buyer. Its not that 100mil shares are wanted, and its not that 100mil shares are not wanted, a large protion is going through as churn on a daily basis.
the data shows me one example that stands out, commsec clients have accounted for 115mil shares traded since the start of september and excluding the last 3 days. Of that 115mil traded they have increased their holding by net 3mil shares. the bulk has been churned.
