    Pure thought:
Just wonder if accc would have a problem with gunns taking major stake in fea? 'Wood' the price of timber product rise with less competition? Make it MORE profitable?
Companies have similar aims with value adding, similar interests; both diversified; fea at bargain basement rate. Just wonder?

In 2 years or so, gunns will need a load of re-growth timber, and to value add the remainder taken from the good portion of the logs via our fea BBay saw mill (state of the art), the remaining 'waste' can feed the mill rather than be shipped off aus, to our far northern neighbours ~ for THEM to process.
Believe (haven't been on-site) that the facilities must be in the same zone of BBay.

Not sure if the major s/holders agree, but with a script deal as gns have recently done with a former major s/holder, could be attractive for both camps?

'I'm now ready for the firing line'.

    Cheers :)
