I wouldn't say VOIP was immune from a recession but it's pretty damn close.

People are never going to stop making phone calls or disconnect from the net in an economic downturn.

Obviously new customers will be attracted to VOIP and naked dsl to cut costs but also existing customers will make more VOIP calls and less on their mobiles.

That's not to say that management can afford to take their eye off the ball, look at ENG. Unfortunately while Eng is struggling, MNF is going to suffer some guilt by association.
