Hi, I'm a Global and Tower shareholder in the UK. In my
view what first started the panic selling amongst Tower shareholders was two news reports from Uganda, one of rebels killing 9 civilians and one report of a new border dispute with the Congo. People who had not read this news assumed the selling was due to leaked bad news about the well and joined in the panic. This forced the rather equivocal statement from the two companies. (Which in more normal circumstances might have been regarded more positively?)
