the benefit of hindsight

I read today in the Australian a comment by an agribusiness specialist that many operating agribusinesses have better management models than Timbercorp or Great Southern. It reminded me of many years ago when these two companies were so highly praised for their wonderful management. Hindsight is a funny thing!
It also reminds me of a comment of my financial planner (read 'salesman') about Timbercorp. He said that their management fees were too high and that he would rather be a shareholder than grower. I'm not sure he agrees with that assessment anymore!
