Thanks for your comments Roiboi. Based on comments from the interview, AOE have been looking in Europe for a while now. They would have been aware of the drilling costs for sometime but seem to have remained interested. Imo it will be a matter of how far do they spread their investment $ and risk given they have presence in quite a few asian markets.
