Primaus72, he interesting part for me will be who will manage the investment on behalf of the investors at the end of the day if TIM gets wound up?
I am sure it would depend on the terms of the contracts and from what I can recall of the project prospectuses that I've read and seeing the blossoming of TIM's offshoots, ie all their various trusts, I suspect it is quite a minefield.
TIM struck me as a tax payer funded (through agricultural deductions via the ATO) ponzi scheme, hence why I sold a couple of years ago.
Back on the ownership of the trees/nuts/fruits, I recall with the almond project that after a specified period the ownership of the trees reverts to the manager. I believe the period was 25 years, the average optimum bearing life time of an almond tree.
