There are five partly paid shares of this kind. That is a small fraction of the listings. Also, there are many other shares suffixed with ca that do not carry a fixed liability: That is what I found so annoying, and presumably why ASIC has moved to change the rules. Also, a list of the securities and the call due,
MAFCA 40 cents owing, 60 cents paid (due 2011, perhaps much sooner)
WOTCA 50 cents owing, 50 cents paid (due 2011)
SLACA 10 cents owing, 10 cents paid
CGGCc 2.5 cents owing, 17.5 cents paid
reveals that the calls on BCSCA and BSCCB (if it eventuates) are up to 80 times that of "similar" securities.
