Problem is d-tree is in the gregory river protected area, it is bordered by areas of high preservation value. Mines like century zinc only exist in the area because they were pre-existing before the legislation was put in place. Legislation is in place to protect this area from new mines. This is the reason legend can't get drilling approval for lady annie, the qld government hasn't made it a project of state significance. You can't fast track mines in protected areas, they will only get up after a lengthy environmental assessment process, if at all. Then you have to deal with the qld wilderness society and greenies protesting.
