The Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minstry in Malaysia
has set the target of increasing the national fish production from the current 270.000 tonnes to 507.000 tonnes by 2010.

Minister Mustapa Mohamed said the country would have to increase its annual Aquaculture production to offset the depleating marine fish resources.

The Ministey hopes that the Aquaculture industrys contribution can be raised to 25 per cent.
