Resmed Inc (RMD0 develops, manufactures and markets medical equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-disordered breathing. Whilst RMD is trading at a PE of 62x and is included in the S & P/ASX 100, it remains one of the world best 'growth stories'. Its recent inclusion in the Forbes Magazine 200 Best Small Companies in America for the 7th consecutive year is a testament to this. Recent financial results are impressive with RMD posting a record income and revenue result for the six months increased 32% to US$26.4m from the same period a year ago. With Research and Development expenditure ar approximately 8% of revenues, it is reassuring that RMD is committed to continuing clinical research and product development, particularly in the area of cardiovascular. RMD remains a 'long term' buy for growth.
