crossed paths with a caterpillar employee @ an AFL match and that person confirmed the following about caterpillar -will have a nationwide prescence(curstosy of nhr & westrac i think?) -will end up being the number ONE hire company in australia!
which just confirms the 'other' comment from someone else inside nhr that... 'business kickking along nicely and has every confidence in the company'!
based on this and whats been publically released then long term i think its realistic to anticipate the following: -integration of 'ah plant hire' in the nhr and westrac operation -full takeover offer of all remaining nhr shares not held buy ace p/l and westrac -then change of name to either westrac ltd or caterpillar australia ltd -purchase of other prominant pty/ltd hire companies -continued expansion of group size and more prominant prescence and profile amongst various media outlets, advertising & follow up public awareness
this will see the start of some real hire industry cosolidation and pose a a very real threat to others margins in particular COA
@45c this might be seen by some as good entry point for the long term
*also note that the company NHR will partcipating in the CINEVEX trade show 26 & 27 of may showing of equipment and new company logo(nationalhire cat rental stores) so interest might be particularly strong post this trade show
