    Hoges,

Sorry I dropped off the thread. Its all a bit depressing these days and sometimes I just dont feel like logging on. That might be a sign that we are near the bottom - when people no longer care.

Peter May is being optimistic. If all goes well then in theory it could take that period of time but my experience is that nothing sails through easily , and its getting worse. There are always delays and requests for more info and while that occurs the clock is off. 12-18 months is if the clock stays on. As far as I can tell (as at 25/11) there is no indication on the website that Termilone has passed through pre-screen and been accepted yet but this may occur in December - after which the time period (12-18 months) starts.

If you are masochistic enough go visit the website http://www.apvma.gov.au

As for commercialisation, it surprises me that the big boys haven't come out to play if Termilone is so good.

As for markets, please ignore figures of 900m of so. This is total damage. The value of products used for termite control in the Australian market have recently been estimated at
There is potential all through Asia but market sizes are relatively small. There is a potential market for a natural product for termite control in plantation crops like timber, tropical fruit and sugarcane (South America) but I dont know whether they have considered these markets yet.

Its hard to quantify the market for such a product in direct timber protection (glueline treatment for plywood or pressure or dip infusion for structural timber but much of this occurs outside Australia.

    Hope this helps.
