Hi GK......expect NIP's will announce the sucessfull completion of this years drilling camapign very soon.
Expect the key objectives would have been met & even exceeeded.
Very exciting several months coming up as we start getting back analytical results & interpretations.
A core strategy was to add s'holder value by extending the resource/JORC for the fluorite & of course the maiden JORC for the ferro-V.
The ferro-V could really surprise on the upside as quite an extensively area drilled out & our earlier calculations showed extra-ordinary ( multi billion $ ) in ground values.
............little investor interest in this market, but as we've pointed out, NIPs has "deep value" which has to be recognised by the market as the resources are quantified.

Yep....the potential resource & the inground values are quite staggering......we can be conservative,ultra-conservative or ultra-ultra conservative & still come to the conclusion that there are MEGA BILLIONS worth of resource in the ground here.
Why the lack of investor interest?
The simplest explanation seems to be lack of awareness/comprehension ....& the attitude that if it was really that good then the price wouldn't just be sitting there at 40c.
So expect understanding to start growing with :
- progressive release of results & confirmation of economic vanadium grades - independant JORC calculation on the "extended" area drilled - results of mettalurgical testing etc.
At this stage, would expect that company releases might start conveying the bigger picture.
So now we've got the diamond drill in action to see if the fluorite might be enhanced with some copper & gold hits .......& in the backgrpound we have the tantalising issue of PLATINUM & whether NIP's can find the trend towards higher grades & the ultimate prize of locating the FEEDER zone.

Once again the market has failed to digest the significance of this target upgrade. Whilst my view may be "rose coloured" to some, I consider your "quick calculation" to be well towards the lower end of the scale and quite conservative. Whatever the eventual outcome, the data at hand already represents a very substantial and valuable resource.
Patience will reward

Very encouraging progress report released today:
Perhaps this has gone un-noticed to the av. investor, but a significant point from the release is that the original zone being drilled out for a resource has so far been increased from 3.5 km by 1.5 km to 6 km by 1.7 km .
All adds to the expectation that there are probably billions of tones of Platinum - Vanadium bearing material here……note additional ‘untested’ targets have been identified.
A quick calculation using the 6 km by 1.7 km section currently reported as drilled & using only a 20m thick enriched zone for the vanadium…….gives approx. 0.65 BILLION tonne of material ( SG 3.2 )
This converts to about 1.57 M tonne of V or about 1.96 M tonne of ferro-V.
At around $80/kg for the ferro-V….this has a value of approx $160 BILLION.
What more can you say?......sensational RISK/REWARD, and the earlier equation holds:
There is one certainty in the market,..........nothing is certain!.
Fight the market and you will get a bloody nose.

..haha,just you & me on this thread GK
When last checked drilling was motoring along nicely...so we might get a progress report soon.
JORCING up a substantial ferro-V resource has to add significant value.
Big program in progress...have sig increased my stake......believe senational risk/reward prospects on this one & reading it as a potential multi bagger/wealth generator.

Clearly you're very much "up to speed" on this one LC.
Agree quantifying (JORC compliant) the extent of the vanadium resource, and expanding the 08 program with recent additional funds is very positive. Within the expanded program, if additional drilling can locate and identify a PGE feeder structure, this will go "gangbusters".............and then the potential to establish a significant copper resource under the flourite.
If all the stars align........this is a magnificent cocktail

yep..I think its NIP alert time again as the price drivers are emerging!
NIP placed 10% of capital ( $2.72)M which will accelerate drilling programs & resource definition.
Access work has been carried out after the wet season & mobilization is starting to take place to commence drilling within the next week or two.
The company is working on a presentation to outline the strategy going forward & what it expects to be achieved……
NIPs are targeting very large tonnages (300-600 MT?) of ferrovanadium………….it’s a bit like the re-rating of Coal Seam Gas,…there’s plenty of evidence from earlier drilling of substantial tonnages, but you can’t claim reserves until you do the drilling to conform with the code.
One metric to measure against is a comparison with WVL…have a look at it’s run from around 25c to around $3 over the last few years.....on its ferro-V
NIP has essentially the same grades etc. but seems to be expecting/targeting much HIGHER tonnages…
Additionally NIP has a substantial commercial fluorite project….with what appear to be additional bonus copper/gold credits.
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY….…NIP has located a PLATINUM horizon which has the geo’s very excited …...if the source of the platinum is located,it will be a potential bonanza for NIP s'holders.
So drilling about to commence on what appear to be TWO commercial projects ( massive ferro-V plus fluorite)…..plus drilling for PLATINUM to search for higher grades which if located give exceptional upside.
This is a very tightly held stock with excellent leverage to good news.

...think we have to start getting some drillholes into the ground & some results to spark some real interest.
Comfortable with what look like two commercial projects at this stage & happy to hold for the extreme leverage to the platinum & copper/gold potential.
Looking forward to the champagne later in the year!

yep.....in this market environment it makes sence to delineate JORC reserves so that you have something solid you can negotiate with, say the Chinese.
So the focus is on immediate value - adding, yet tantalizing exploration upside on platinum ( can they find the rich feeder zones) and the copper/gold.
Bottom line is NIP will remain a very tight stock with EXTREME LEVERAGE to increase JORC delineation & exploration success.

The '08 exploration program looks sound..........should confirm an extensive valuable multi resource package.........bring on the drill core

You're tight,GK......I was waiting for the end of the wet in the NT to see what CMR can do.
Anyway we're in the same "wet season" so initial field work should start in April.
I think we're agreed that ALL the price DRIVERS that sent NIP skywards last year are still in place & should be accentuated with an active & targetted drill program.
Hoping the Cu/Au assay results are interesting as this will open up a NEW window of opportunity. Expecting the platinum results to be the routine pedestrian stuff as they now know they didn't drill in the optimum areas and their new conceptual model should make the platinum drilling this year pretty interesting.
Still the best risk/reward situation I can find, with downside risk mitigated by extensive ferrovanadium & fluorite.

Agree with that scenario LC.........except the fact that the Speewah Dome is in located in the West Kimberly region and not NT..........but I s'pose its the same wet season.
I would have expected to have received the 07 platinum results by now.........but I guess the geos are structuring an overall resource model that's not far away. Suspect this will be announced along with the 08 drilling/exploration program in the next few days/weeks.
Nice early kick again today.......very little stock available under a buck

Yep,good to see NIP’s on the rise again………………………..have more results to release March/April from original drilling & re-assays on the platinum horizon so suspect this might be a bit of a price driver/stimulator.
Real excitement this year when the new drill program ( after the NT wet season ) starts with a more focused & targeted program.
For those not familiar with the story....Looks like NIP have two economic deposits /commoditiies ( grade & tonnage ) so far….ferrovanadium & an industrial mineral ( fluorite)….some unknown potential from Cu/Au indications……but the mega-potential is in the PLATINUM where early indications/geological interpretation is that this is the first discovery of the type of occurrence that has made SthAfrica a premium platinum producer.
Seems to me that the vast quantities of ferrovanadium discovered should underwrite a sp substantially above current levels . Additionally the potential of a very serious wealth creating multi-bagger could be realised if the early platinum results provide geo's the lead to discovering the “generating” zones where high grade platinum ( & precious metals) would be located.
Don't think there will be too much stock around for anyone that wants to get on board this sensational risk/reward scenario.

Doubt it nash
Whilst in market recovery, punters are more likely to climb onto oversold quality with attractive P/E multiples...........quality explorers will be next in the queue
