    the recapitalisation could be very good news for mfi holders - it depends on the issue price of the new shares -if mfi's debt is wiped out in return for the issue of new shares at say 20c each, then that is what the market price will probably go to short term, and in the longer term could climb back to 50c as the recapitalised group will be in a great position to go quality asset hunting in the best global market to do that in 20 years.

    I suspect the new equity has been attracted to the MFI business model and infrastructure, and sees a ready made, listed vehicle as the ideal device to do some serious property fire sale shopping while the credit crisis is still in full swing.

    on the other hand, if the new shares are issued at 1c because mfi is financially choiceless then we are in some trouble.

    interesting times ahead.
