I thought the same but last night Goldman Sachs released a report indicating the Financial sector may need to raise US$141 billion to recapitalise and the European markets fell accordingly.
Having said that, many analysts/forums/newsletters such that I follow indicate that Monday/Tuesday will be the pivot point for a rally to the upside.
Most technical indicators are deeply oversold so any bounce should be swift and violent.
