I wonder if he took in on the Cygnet Placement. He is a senior adviser for Cygnet.
If he acquired shares and the company released a market sensitive announcement he could get done for insider trading.
So maybe he sacrificed being a director so that he could get in on the placement knowing that a good deal would be struck.
To my understanding he never received any shares in the company upon becoming a director.
I would have thought that his work load would have dropped now that NEC have been taken over by HCF so I am a little surprised that it says that he resigned "due to work commitments with other entities".
Then again I might be way over speculating this...
