Great research - thanks for the post! This describes what has been repeatedly allowed to happpen on the ASX despite assurances to the contrary, political rhetoric & promises of remedies. Genuine small investors are transparent to everyone but are also DENIED access to current information on naked & covered shorting - if you can find it on the ASX website I would love to see it. Nor can they purchase or sell off market at mates' rates!
IMHO this situation ABSOLUTELY STINKS & I lament that The Australian discontinued its reporting of this fiasco. IMHO those responsible for the mgt / regulation / oversight of the ASX should be held to account for their disgracefully inept & irresponsible performance. Given the ASX is a beneficiary of increased volatility etc. it MUST be replaced before our finance sector is totally routed.
Our boarse is a global laughing stock [sic] open to gross untraceable manipulation by anyone of substance [sic]. Our boarse is niether transparent nor fair - to small investors or to non mega-sized companies trying to run legitimate businesses.
