This reminds me of my recent experience with Atlas Iron. Anyone staying the short but exciting course of the takeover action got something around a 170% profit.
Naturally it was temping to sell off shares on the way up, especially with uncertainty in the air. I shed about 2/3rd like that, and ultimately regretted it of course, as in glorious hindsight holding during a period of corporate competition was a no-brainer.
The main problem with Atlas was the legacy BoM. The main problem with Lynas is political risk. But in the end the market has a way of recognising at least some of the value, and the SP breaks through.
