I think it's time for Ken to get in touch with Anthony Tse over at GXY for a frank discussion on creating the major Li producer in the world. Both companies are looking at partial sell-downs of their key assets. How about this:
* GXY off load 100% of SDV (brine project in Argentina) to POSCO
* GXY and PLS merge
* The merged GXY/PLS entity sit down with POSCO and talk about joint ventures in Sth America, WA and Canada from the mine level to the chemical processing level
* The new GXY/PLS/POSCO entity turn around and give it to ALB, SQM & Tianqi and create a behemoth that will lead the Li industry in future and dispel any misinformation (once and for all) espoused by Mac Bank and Morgan Stanley that there is a Li supply tsunami.
Time for the Oz Li players to think big picture and act in the best interest of this country. That way they can counter the real competition coming from the oil industry.
