Sayona Québec will go ahead with its Authier Lithium project in La Motte. The project that will be tabled in the coming weeks will target a daily production of about 2600 tons, for a mine life of about 14 years. This choice will help to respect the principles of sustainable development while securing investments with mixed environmental impacts and structuring benefits for the La Motte community, "said Mr. Rouillier.In its previous version, the Authier Lithium project provided for daily production of approximately 1900 tonnes per day, which allowed it to avoid the environmental impact assessment and review process leading to the Bureau of Public Hearings. on the environment. The life of the mine was then 18 years.More jobsSayona believes that in this form, the project remains small, has a low environmental impact and remains interesting for the community of La Motte, who wanted a long-term project.The company estimates that the construction of the mine will work 150 people.
