For me the point is American politics is absolutely without conscience. All of them use whatever they can to loosely suit the party but mostly their own individual aspirations. Cortez is quickly finding out that the people's champion has no place in the modern world. Overall, IMO , we are witnessing the slow but certain demise of the United States. Every aspect of its existence is crumbling, in part due to changes like the rise of China. Mostly though, it's their own doing. They are literally destroying themselves from the inside. Reminds me of cancer. Even Hollywood will someday no longer be what it once was. Entertainment industry is bowing to extreme pressure from China to be more collaborative and inclusive. As for climate change, the king of the capitalists the US, will never allow such an idea to get in the way of a fast buck. It's sinking in front of our eyes, the SS Great America.
