Also, new quarterly ASX indices rebalance stock additions to the ASX 500. I download the PDF, and carefully check the weekly charts for all new additions. If the new addition is trending up close to new highs, I will more likely buy.
Quarterly rebalances for the stronger ASX 500 stocks being upgraded for inclusion into the ASX 300 are not as important because I am already aware of the strongest ASX 500 stocks.
New 52-week high scans are also essential. Super-performance stocks like ALU, APT, APX, NEA, JIN, etc, can't hide themselves on the way up.
