MCFJ; there are many reasons why people hold and sell in this or any stock . Reasons we can all lose sight of imo. The reasons may be a mix of many principals, ethics, analytical strategies or down to gut instinct based on past trading experience.

IMO some reasons to HOLD a stock .
1:The Co has strong reputation & ability to acquire sound finance to fund its stated growth strategies.
2:The Co has strong & proven m’ment with diverse Board makeup.
3:The Co practises responsible governance.
4:The Co sets detailed & staged asset building goals.
5:The Co achieves staged growth towards its stated goals.
6:Independent market analyists recommend buy a position in Co.
7:Belief in company announcements & reports, industry related media, journal & print articles.
8:Belief & sense of trust in Co.

IMO some reasons to SELL a stock.
1:A negative sentiment or belief to a mix or number of the above hold reasons turns to Sell sentiment.
2:To minimise loss/further loss on a stock.
3:Current downward share price trend/s suggests sell.
4:Long term downward share price trend/s suggests sell.
5:Market analysts advocate a sell position
6:Severe shareholding dilution says sell.
7:A Co’s inabilty to attract strong institutional or cornerstone investment capital on sensible commercial terms to shareholders.
8:When a combination of numerous SELL signals causes a loss/lack of confidence in a stock.

I have listed obvious reasons imo for and against holding any stock. Im sure all here can identify their own reasons.

MCFJ, posters are expressing their reasons for their hold and sell views.
What we should do is stop ridiculing a poster just because we don’t like their reasoning or becauses it opposes our own.
Empathy can be very empowering. As can observing anothers reasoning.
One thing we all share is same desire to improve our own financial position.

Personally I believe AVQ has consistently failed to deliver on so many, if not all the critical hold measures I evaluate a stock by.
I try not too denigrate posters for their views.
I hold posters to account when they post shite.
I also hold AVQ m’ment to account & criticism for their actions & inactions. We shareholders own AVQ.
