I suppose no one notticed that the 2 month and 2 year US interest rates intercepted today....and crossed over.

7 out of the last 8 times they have met in this environment it’s led to ressesion.

We have got a month of so to see a Trend reversal.

The good news is there has historically been a 12-24 lag on damage.

The other point to note is that the poor manufacturers data out of Germany and the big old USA is due to what?

In a country where 7% of people are directly employed by the the car market, and 20% are dependent on it.

What we are seeing is the gradual turn, people simply aren’t buying new cars in the numbers they were,

China is leading the way. Cars sales in general down, but Ev sales up 68%.

With out woofing on any longer Germany in for a tough time as car sales are down due to more and more people going Freek it, holding out for a EV.
Same in the US, people holding out.

Look at ICE sales, they are tanking world wide.
