I recall a while back, I made the argument SP3 could quite easily support overseas expansion
Reasons why:-
- it costs less than $7.5K to ship a 20ft container to major worldwide ports
- shipping time <28 days
- allow $5K for flights, hotel etc for technician to fly and set it up / 3-4 days training
You get a deal for 8-10 thermal cameras, with value $104-130K, there is ample margin to do the deal, ship the cameras and send someone to install them, whilst retaining a profit and gaining exposure to overseas markets
I was shot down pretty fiercely by a few here, it wasn't commercial, no boots on the ground, no idea what I was talking about etc
Well SP3 have shipped cameras to someone in Texas for a trial ... do we have boots on the ground in Texas ?
If SP3 are happy to entertain overseas markets after all, then cannabis should be a priority
They are making something so simple look so difficult, and I've offered countless times to do it free
Collate a list of the 750-1000 licensed cannabis cultivators across Europe, US, Canada, Australia, NZ (I already have), same goes for Hemp, target both indoor and outdoor cultivation sites, send them the thermal presentation highlighting this is ideal for cannabis protection and offer a discounted rate on initial 3 month trial
As long as the cost of the trial covers SP3's shipping and setup costs, I really don't see why this hasn't already been done. You contact 1,000, I could almost guarantee you'd get a double digit figure reaching out for trials. I loosely run it by 4-5 contacts that I know and all were open to trials of sorts. If we are only talking $15-20K cost to the cultivator, to test the thermal range for 3 months, it is chump change
If the product is as good as SP3 claim, then the goal should be securing as many paid trials as possible and having them naturally / organically convert to sales at the end of the 3 month period
