The most meaningful information you can glean from the start of the day is the ACTUAL opening price.
Sometimes the pre-market opening price (if your trading platform shows it) can also be meaningful.
Both these pieces of information can assist in predicting which direction the price will move.
That does not necessarily mean that a downwards opening will see a continuation of downwards movement
or that an upwards opening will see a continuation of upwards movement. It can sometimes work like this
but it may sometimes not. Those who can make these calls correctly are those who know how to read the
tea leaves. There are some persons who can do that but most cannot.
Pre market bid ifgures can be deceptive and therefore are not meaningful.
