Let's hope so.. However, there is no credible or tangible information to suggest that this is the case. Just a sentence that can be interpreted in a variety of ways at this point.
Let us know why the extension has occurred instead of leaving us in the dark until either:
1. There is a binding deal
2. Another extension
3. Termination of MOU
