You have conveniently missed the point that the company you are a part owner of has already paid the tax. If you don't pay any other taxes, you should be entitled to claim the tax the company paid on behalf of the owners, Do yourself a favour and compare 2 alternative investments, $1M in TLS and $1M in an investment property (collecting rent only, no capital gain/loss). You will notice why scrapping the franking credit refund is not equitable or fair.
