Ann: Huayou Cobalt Group Increases Shareholding in AVZ, page-120

No I want to see continuous and proper disclosure according to the law by the people whose duty it is to make those disclosures. That's what laws are for. Can you please tell me by what percentage Huayou increased their shareholding, what price was paid for this increased percentage, what dates these transactions occurred on and when the date of Huayou's last substantial holder was. This is all information that was not included in today's announcement and which would be included pursant to section 671B of the corporations law if Huayou's relevant interest reached 5% or changed by 1%.

Can't you see the potential for abuse around this announcement? The company will be very aware that it has a large retail shareholder base and that the annoucement would have potential to spark speculation amongst this group, ie be considered material amongst this group. If the announcement is not material then why make it? Surely if Huayou have triggered the 5% or 1% change rule under the corporations law they will be notifying the market themselves in the next 2 days and will provide all the relevant information as prescribed by law.

If the actual change in holding isn't significant enough to trigger a notice under the law then the announcement is truly immaterial and not worthy of moving the share price dial. All it has the potential to do is create liquidity and I wonder who that might serve?Esh
