I’ve had this thought - will direct to you guys who are far more experienced & knowledgeable wrt ownership and history of the web of who has held and explored here .

SOLs — could they be a Buyer ??
Literally of AusMex on market ?
( Or offer Finance , take position ? - they did this with Exco ?? originally then acquired them )

Or - could the complex of Exco , Resources co ( the Processor ) also be looking .
Although a little moot considering Resources , (Souls 100% owner subsidiary company), relinquished the extra land to AMG , for the valuable tailings with high gold for approx $2.5 million cost ?

So - increased Processing and throughput is Resources ( and SOLs ) focus .
Also they have other connections , inc being involved inextricably with Newcrest side also through the whole relationship ? Plenty of scope for Processing synergies

Exco is now executing other acquisition deals- in another Nth Qld tenement zone also I read .
    Taken 9 months .
Gold also . So they have exploration , growth and production ambitions ?

Newcrest are on Fire it looks !
They are behaving very intelligently globally with wise Nth American move , Ecuador too , and especially now in home Australia- competitively taking foothold , to position themselves to Grow , expand globally .
Resources that they determine can be competitive for them , they have exceptional Block-caving UG expertise .
There’s a rush , and they are vocal in saying they’ll do what is in interests of their shareholders and growth , moving to already bed down important and compelling resources for their future .

    But - SOLs ? WSP ?
Could they be also —- directly interested ? As a shareholder , take position ?

Soul Pats (SOL) are about the oldest listed company in Australia.
Their origins - as a listed company trading on the ASX , date back over 100 years they have been paying out dividends ( barring one year - war years , WW2 ) - otherwise since the early 1900s .

To me - I was thinking therefore that their company history fully goes back include and encompass to the end of the real big Gold Era in Australia , finally in Queensland.
They were Melbourne or Victoria based though . ( where Gold significantly began in Australia - by mid - 1800s )

The Mt Freda historical area , the last true mining ended in 1939 .
Typified- as yielding good gold ~ 20gm / tonne grades regarded , on records with Qld Govt - for area held by Ausmex .
( note - also SOL - via Exco -some ownership . And formerly and current with Resources )

Could it be - that WSP , have a significant interest in this area ? And in resources investment at present , for into the future ?
(Personally I couldn’t imagine a better area to be looking in to invest extra - and they obviously have done this initially , in the 2012 downturn by jumping and investing then acquiring what is now Exco ?)

Mt Freda , the Mines there , are high yielding .
They were mined by the oldtimers from about 1880 - 1939 conclusion . Soul Patterson’s also is that old

Ps . Yes - I know it is Newcrest who are most interested !
However , legitimate questions , re SOL, ? Thks .
